Usage Notes
- Use in a dry, indoor environment.
- Never steam clean or wet shampoo these materials.
- All fibers, both dyed and undyed, will change over time - especially when exposed to direct sunlight.
- All plant fibers will reflect certain natural variations such as those in color or fiber thickness.
- Pattern Differences of up to 2" in the warp and weft can occur due to variations in fibers.
Madagascar has long been a Designer favorite. It is woven with a bulky heathered sisal yarn with a tightly woven weft. This creates a beautiful, architecturally neutral color palette with just the right touch of texture.
Madagascar is part of our Textura collection which features East African Sisal grown in Tanzania and Kenya. From an aesthetic standpoint, their bold textures and rich natural colors add visual interest to a room setting without overpowering other elements of your design. While from a practical standpoint, their strong sisal fibers, and flat woven structure allow these rugs to be placed in more heavily traveled rooms with heavy furniture loads as there is no pile to crush.
Madagascar has a heavy latex backing which provides both dimensional stability to the weave and makes further rug padding unnecessary.
